SUKKUR: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Abdul Qayyum Soomro has directed the concerned officials of Auqaf department to complete the construction work of shrine of Saddaruddin Shah as soon as possible.
This he said while presiding over a meeting here, attended among others by Manager Auqaf department Sukkur Shabir Brohi, Kateebs of the Sukkur and Larkana divisions.
The meeting thoroughly reviewed the pace of work on ongoing and new schemes and stressed the need for further expediting it.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Abdul Qayyum Soomro said that interest of the masses was top most priority of the Sindh government and no delaying tactics would be tolerated in the development process. He called upon the official concerned to keep a strict vigil on the construction work and ensure its standard at all costs.
The Advisor made special emphasis on the importance of Project of Saddaruddin Shah and said that the Dargah holds an important place in the hearts of the people from all over the country.
Dr Soomro also recalled the directives of President of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah regarding reconstruction, renovation and beautification of Dargah, and instructed the concerned authorities to ensure completion of work within stipulated time.
Later, talking to a delegation of Khateebs, Ulema and Mashaikh of the Sukkur district, Advisor Soomro said that tolerance, love and brotherhood were vital for peace in the country.
He said that with the support of prominent ulema and mashaikh, Provincial Auqaf Department will play its effective role in promoting unity and tolerance. He said that foiling the nefarious designs of the enemy and promoting religious tolerance and unity is a proof of the wisdom of our ulema.
He regretted that certain elements were trying to exploit the name of Islam and Pakistan to create unrest in the country. The Ulema assured their full support to the Sinh government and its policies.

SUKKUR: NADRA Head Office Sukkur has announced for the general information that the visit program of mobile registration vans (MRVs) has been scheduled from 22nd July to 7th August, 2015 to visit different localities of the four districts of Sukkur division. NADRA Head Quarter’s teams with MRVs will visit different localities of Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze districts to provide applicants their CNICs at their villages. Accordingly, applicants of different union councils (USs) of talukas New Sukkur and Rohri of district Sukkur, UCs of Talukas Khairpur, Faiz Ganj and Sobho Dero of district Khairpur, NRCs Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki and UCs of Taluka Moro of district Naushahro Feroze will be facilitated with this facility till August, 07, 2015. DADU: Various social welfare organizations led the foundation of Dadu Social Forum and agreed to unite under the umbrella of Dadu Social Forum and announced to start united struggle against apathy of SEPCO and TMA officials for ruining the city on Wednesday.
Leaders of various social welfare organizations including Dr Abdul Jabbar Babar, Muhammad Bux Korai and others expressed concerns over the apathy of elected representatives and unanimously led the foundation of Dadu Social Forum. They also announced to start united struggle for the resolution of basic amenities of town from 27 July. Dr Abdul Jabbar Babar, Muhammad Bux Korai, Gulsher solangi, Aijaz Malkani and Muhammad Hashim Ansari were unanimously elected as the organizers of Dadu Social Forum.
Talking to this reporter, Dr Abdul Jabbar Babar told that all social welfare organizations are committed to strive for the resolution of basic amenities of town under the platform of Dadu Social Forum. He told that in first phase, Dadu Social Forum will protest against SEPCO officials for carrying out prolonged unscheduled load shedding, tripping of electricity and sending inflated bills to consumers. Mr. Babar said that due to the apathy of SEPCO officials, over than three dozens of transformers of various colonies burnt before EID and citizens observed EID in darkness. Mr Babar also announced to stage sit-in outside the office CEO SEPCO Sukkur if the problems were not resolved on priority bases.
