Two brothers dead in Larkana road accident

LARKANA:
Two brothers were killed after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car near Chuharpur village here on Monday.
According to the police, Aftab Jayo, 20, was going to his village Muhammad Saleh Jeho with Brother Muzaffar Jeho, 6, when their motorcycle collided with a car coming from opposite side on Larkana-Naudero road near Chuharpur village.
The accident happened in the jurisdiction of Mahota Police Station. The police arrested the car driver and impounded his vehicle.
Later, the bodies of deceased were handed over their heirs after the postmortem.
Police arrested the Car driver and registered the case.

PPF arranges 2 day training workshop on “Physical and Digital Security” for Journalists

Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) arranged two day training workshop on “Physical and Digital Security” for Journalists here at Local hotel in Larkana.
Speaking on the occasion, renowned writer and Journalist Sohail Memon said that due to lack of basic training and information, often journalists are facing several type of incidents including killings and tortures, adding that Pakistan is among 5th rank in term of journalists killings in the World, where the media persons are being targeted to death.
He informed that digital security is very important like Physical training as media persons use the net, cellphones, computers and other devices, it is very important to secure and protect secrete data and other information following modern methods for the safety and security of journalists.
Later President Larkana Press Club S Iqbal Babu and General Secretary Ghulam Murtaza Kalhoro, Faheem Magan PPF of representative distributed the Certificates among the trainees.

VILLAGER SHOT DEAD WHILE ONE INJURED

A villager was killed while the other was injured in an armed clash took place between two groups of Magneja and Juneja tribesmen at village Rab Nawaz Magnejo and village Moor Junejo in the jurisdiction of 2-.mile Police Station on Sunday night.
As per reports the armed men belonging to Magneja community attacked at village Moor Juneja with automatic weapons.
As a result of firing from both the rival parties one Bashir Ahmed Junejo was killed while the other named Ladho Junejo received serious bullet injuries.
The injured was referred to Larkana Civil Hospital in serious condition for medical treatment after providing him medical first aid at Madeji Hospial.
While the dead body of the deceased Bashir Ahmed Junejo was handed over to his heirs after conducting post-mortem at Madeji Hospital.
The motive behind the clash was said to be an old ongoing dispute between the Juneja and Magneja over the ownership of the piece of agricultural land developed between the parties some 3-4 years back.
About more than 17 persons of both the parties were killed in deadly clashes so far.
First Information Report (FIR) was not registered till this story was filed.

BREACH OCCURED IN SINDH WAAH

The 50-ft breach was occurred in Sindh Canal near Machi village on Sunday late night.
The villagers on self help basis plugged the breach after their efforts for some hours and thus they saved their village Machi and its adjoining localities from the flood from Rais canal.
However the standing paddy crops on more than one hundred acres were flooded with the water of Rais canal.
The affected villagers staged a demonstration at bypass road near District Jail and blocked the National highway road against the Irrigation Department and District Administration who failed to straighten the embankment of Rais canal which was remained in weaken position since long and demanding for compensation of the paddy crops destroyed in flood water of Rais canal due to negligence of Irrigation Department.
The road was reopened with invention by PML-F MNA Ghous Bux Khan Mahar after three hours.
