LARKANA: High Court of Sindh Circuit Court Larkana issued interim pre arrest bail to retired Engineer Works and Services Department Imdad Ali Magsi.
The petitioner had apprehensions about the NAB actions and filed constitutional petition no D-745 OF 2015 through his lawyer Athar Abbas Solangi, stated in that petitioner Imdad Ali Magsi served as Executive Engineer and Superintendent Engineer at Works and Services Department retired from service on 4 March 2014, NAB was harassing the petitioner by issuing call up notices and raids in house, he was served tnotice by NAB on 16, 7 2013 and petitioner submitted his statement dated29, 7 2013, despite of that NAB did not stop harassing and sent two more call up notices on 18, 7 2014 and 5, 8 2014.
The learned Council submitted that NAB ordinance have overriding effect over the other law and since it is sub- judice matter, no other agency including Anti corruption authorities could investigate the matter, petitioner was claiming to be facing trials of four different forums which is violation of constitution.
The court admitted interim pre arrest bail, petitioners will surrender his passport, the court issued also notice to respondents and DPG NAB for hearing on 16, 7 2015.

LARKANA: The Soofi Sachal Sarmast Welfare Association (SSSWA) Kashmore in collaboration with the Citizens Voice Project (CVP) arranged public awareness workshop on “importance of Local Government Election System” here at local hotel, aimed to implement system through the election mechanism.
A large number of people belonging from different walk of life attended the program and they exchanged their ideas and appreciated the efforts of the Citizens Voice Project CVP.
Speakers addressing said that relevant organizations have formed a youth volunteer group in order to facilitate the project staff in all design activities of the project and that group is consist on the 35 youth and after the formation of this group, training program organized for them in DRC Center in Kandhkot, where these youth were trained and guided with required knowledge and skills. Afterwards, Soofi Sachal Sarmast Welfare Association Kashmore organized a debate competition in different colleges namely City Science College and Universal Science College Kandhkot in both competition round about twelve students participated and topic was on the importance of the local government system, in all participants of debate competition certificates were distributed and also announced that winners would be rewarded with the prize awards in interactive conference in which Politicians, Journalists, educationists, Government Officials and people from different walk of Life would be invited, moreover, on the other hand in debate competition Furthermore, Ghulam Yaseen Lashari and Abdul Qayyoom Hajno (Project Staff) informed the participant that via this project people would come to know the gravity of the importance of the local government system. So Sindh government should have to give practical shape to the elections of the local government and ensure that public problems would only be solved via this system and with this peace and prosperity would automatically be increased and people from backward areas would come ahead to resolve the fundamental public problem and meanwhile elections contest, law and order situation must be maintained for the smooth running of the pooling Stations and public.

LARKANA: The Deputy Commissioner Larkana Javed Ali Jagirani on Wednesday inaugurated the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Veterinary University Larkana Campus office at Qaud e Awam Agriculture Research Institute Naudero @ Larkana.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Larkana Javed Ali Jagirani said that the land for Larkana campus will be acquired very soon, so that agriculture sector could strengthened.
Later Deputy Commissioner Larkana visited the Feed Mill Naudero and held meeting with officials of and visited the different units of mill, he directed the concerned officials to make it operative, so that people from agriculture field could get benefit.

LARKANA: Veteran PPP Leader and Former MNA, Supermen Court Lawyer Khalid Iqbal Memon (63) passed away at Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana on Friday morning.
He was admitted at Chandka Medical College Hospital and suffering from brain hemerge disease, he breathed his last in hospital.
The funeral prayer was attended by a large number of local PPP leaders, citizens, Lawyers and other representatives of civil society, former MPA Haji Munwar Ali Abbasi, Abdul Razaq Soomro founding PPP member, former Federal Minister Shahid Hussain Bhutto, Senior Advocate Ghulam Dastagir Shahani and others.
Khalid Iqbal Memon was born on August 23, 1951 in Larkana, Sindh. He was politically affiliated with the PPPP.
An advocate by profession, he completed his LL.B from Law College, Larkana in 1974, followed by a Masters degree from University of Sindh the same year.
Late Khalid Iqbal Memon was among loyal PPP workers, he remained MNA 2002 to 2007 and enjoyed several key posts, he was member of Pakistan Bar Council, Sindh Bar Council and performed services as President District Bar Association in1995, President High Court Bar Association in 2007, General Secretary, District Bar Association and High Court Bar Association respectively, besides he served as member Sindh for Pakistan Bailtulmal Board, Prime Minister Secretariat from 2013 to 2014, legal advisor for WAPDA, NHA, EOBI and others.
Deceased left behind one wife, one daughter, one brother and two sisters, his services for party and Larkana people will be remembered for ever, local leaders said.
Senior Provincial Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and MNA Muhammad Ayaz Soomro in separate condolence message, h expressed grief and sorrow over the untimely death of senior PPP leader, they prayed to almighty Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace.
