MQM stages walkout from NA over raid on Sattar residence

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday staged a walkout from the National Assembly in protest against Rangers raid on its central leader Dr Farooq Sattar’s residence.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force had conducted a targeted operation in PIB Colony on in the wee hours of Monday and arrested a target killer Shamshad and extortionist Ahmed Yasir along with weapons.
The spokesman also denied conducting any raid at MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar’s residence and claimed that the search operation was in fact carried out two streets away from MQM leader’s house.
On the other hand, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that the Rangers had raided his house and arrested three people including a party worker and took away his licensed 9MM pistol.
