K.P.C TEAM MEETS CHIEF SECRETARY SINDH

KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has assured the office bearers of Karachi Press Club (KPC) to get the journalist problems resolved in accordance with the Government policy.

He expressed these views, while talking the delegates of Karachi Press Club, who met him this morning led by KPC President Imtiaz Khan Faran. Director Public Relation Naukhaiz Anwar Siddiqui was also present, souvenir from both sides were also exchanged.

The KPC Team requested to ameliorate the journalist community from the issues of Journalist Housing Colony at Hawksbay, Where development work was initiated in 2002, however, colony needs further development, as since 1996 when the colony was established in 1996, on the move of then Chief Minister Sindh Abdullah Shah.

Imtiaz Khan Faran also suggested establishing Press Club within the premises of Journalist Colony at Hawksbay, for which space is available there, he added. Arbab Chandio and Irshad Khokhar the KPC Governing Body Members, proposed construction of an Auditorium in large parking area of KPC for which Government’s assistance is required, they added.

Sajjad Saleem Hotiana heard the issues sympathetically, and assured full cooperation in this regard.

He also called report on the status of Journalist Colony at Hawksbay within 03 days.

The other delegates of KPC were Joint Secretary Shams Keerio and member Sohail Rafeeq and Jamsed Gull were present.
