Environment Festival at PAF Museum on June 1st

Karachi: National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) in Collaboration with Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, United Nations Environment Programe (UNEP), Commissioner Office Karachi & other organizations is organizing Environment Festival AT PAF Museum on June 1st at 4 pm.

NFEH’s President M. Naeem Qureshi briefed that 20 schools , NGO,s corporate sector, celebrities will be participating in the festival & students will participate in competition of posters drawing, environmental projects, tableau’s,,songs and quiz, he was addressing with organizing committee & campaign partners.

United Bank Limited, K-electric, Crown Lifan & Dr. Essa Laboratory are the sponsors of the event.

The objective of the festival is to promote awareness, education & mobilization on environment protection he added

He said provincial minister for Sports, Govt of Sindh Fayaz Ali Butt & Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui will be the chief guest on the occasion, whereas, Swiss Consul General Emil Wyss, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Sameer Shaikh, Dr. Kasier Waheed & others will be the guest of honor on the occasion.

NFEH earlier announced to hold different activities and functions from 01 June to 07 June, 2015 on the occasion of World Environment Day

KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddiq Memon has called upon the Secretary Labour and all officers of Sindh Labour Department to ensure provision of Sindh Employees Old age benefits to all concerned without any interruption. He expressed these views, while chairing a briefing session, on Friday. Secretary Labour Ejaz Mangi informed that the collection mechanism has been strengthened, in views of the employees old age benefits, while all out efforts are being carried out, to this effect and task will be achieved within 03 months.
Muhammad Siddiq Memon categorically noted that effective monitoring must be evolved, to ascertain the assigned task, aimed at facilitating the employees, under reference. Meanwhile, Secretary Labour apprised that the affidavits have been got submitted before the Honorable Highest Judiciary by the concerned labour officers that the employees would be paid monthly salary @ Rs.12000/- per head, as Sindh Minimum Wages Board is striving to do the needful, accordingly.

KARACHI: Coordinator to Chief Minister Sindh for Chief Minister’s Inspection, Enquiries & Implementation Team Haji Muzafar Ali Shujra paid surprise visit of different departments of Government of Sindh Wild Life Building, Auqaf, Local Government Academy, Industries, New 15th Floor Building under construction, old KDA Building, Zakat Industries Information Barracks, (all) Old Finance Barracks (all) and other departments of Government of Sindh at Sindh Secretariat, Karachi along with his Team on Friday. During visit he noticed the attendance of Staff. Most of officers/staff were not present in their offices. He warned the officers to be punctual in their office timing otherwise disciplinary action would be taken as per rules. So many condemned vehicles parked at various offices were also inspected by him. He shows his displeasure on the loss of Government Vehicles/Property. He advised officers to provide the list of all Off Road Vehicles.
