Commissioner directed DCs & ACs for improvement of standard of education

Commissioner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch has directed the Deputy Commissioners (DCs), Assistant Commissiners (ACs) and Mukhtiarkars of Sukkur, Khairpur and Ghotki districts to ensure the visit of 4 to 8 schools separately by each one on daily basis in their respective areas and take effective steps for the improvement of standard of education.
He was presided over a meeting at the committee room of his office to review the fortnightly performance report of the DCs and ACs of the Sukkur divsion, where it was decided to take action against the ghost teachers and the patrol pump station owners selling patrol on higher prices other than the prices fixed by the government.
On the occasion, the concerned DCs and the ACs briefed the Commissioner regarding their performance and the steps taken for the improvement of the social departments of their respective areas.
The Commissioner Baloch emphasized on the need of persuading parents to send their children to schools and in this connection, he also suggested the authorities to hold seminars in different localities and to launch a campaign through media to spread awareness regarding the benefits of education amongst parents and their relatives.
He further directed to establish control rooms at each concerned DC office for the education reforms and appealed general public to identify the closed schools and the ghost teachers that action would be taken against the concerned school administration and the ghost teachers.
He also urged on the need of persuading parents to send their children to schools, otherwise notices be sent to parents according to the education reforms law of 2012. Commissioner directed all ACs to ensure fair usage of SMC funds in the Schools and to monitor ongoing development schemes ensuring timely completion with standard work in their concerned areas.
Provision of lighting, drinking water, cleanliness and the development of parks be also ensured, he added.
The consideration be also paid on the routine immunization at hospitals to get rid of different fatal diseases, he added. Getting notice regarding the complaints of sale of patrol on higher rates at different patrol pump stations of the division, he directed the DCs and ACs to deal such owners of the stations strictly and such patrol pump stations be sealed immediately.

In the details, Yesterday while addressing press conference at Badin Press Club, local contractors of Badin district including Imtiaz Memon, Sadique Jaffery, Anwar Ali Jaffery, Alio Charn & others alleged that monopoly & nepotism of Public Health department of district Badin is rising up day to day. Only one tender called among the various schemes of 12 units which consisted the amount of 05 cror. Moreover, they said that this contact consisted on heavy amount which would be out of our financial strength; however Public Health Department wishes to bestow to outsider contractor & it is infringement of our rights. Moreover, they shared that in this connection, they also met with Executive Engineer but no any positive response made in our favor. They said if this contract system would be continuing as usual than it would be very difficult to make survival of our families. They appealed to Chairman, PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to take immediate notice of this injustice with local contractors as we can be able to save our families from huge difficulties.

GASTA protest against controversies in Education Department

Several hundreds government school teachers and members of Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA) led by Provincial President (GSTA) took out rally and staged sit in, in front of residence of Senior Minister for Education Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro against government on introducing controversial education management cadre here on Monday.
The rally was led by Ashraf Ali Khaskheli, GM Abro, Iqbal Soomro, Ghulam Mustafa and others, the rally started from government Pilot Higher Secondary School which marching from various roads reached at Nazar muhalla to record their protest outside the house of Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, occasion the enraged teachers were shouting the slogans against the education authorities and sindh government for imposing anti teachers policy.
Speaking the rally leaders said that concerned department has ignored the service rule and initiated the experiment on education department, they strongly opposed the new management cadre as teachers have serious apprehensions about the new service structure, which creating hurdles for their due promotion, they said.
They said that 50 percent posts form District Education Officer (DEO) to directors were allocated for district management group (DMG) in the new system and it was injustice.
They said that taluka officers of grade 17 from DMG have been assigned additional charge of ADEO in education department, which is unacceptable, adding that new structure allowing 20 per cent promotions of HSTs to while 80 per cent were based on seniority, besides they said that 1,400 posts of supervisors have been eliminated.

The leaders announced that teachers community will not accept the unfair service structure which will destroy department and cause unrest among employees, they also demanded of top PPP leadership to take notice matter and immediately withdraw anti teacher notification and address the issue of teachers.

A youth gunned down

A youth was gunned down by unidentified armed at his village in the jurisdiction of Hatri Ghulam Shah here on Monday.
According to details, 22 year old Siraj Jatoi was shot dead near his village Saoo foot by unknown armed men when deceased was working in field, in the limits of Hatri Ghulam Shah Police Station, the dead body was shifted to CMC Hospital Larkana and after medico legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to his heirs.
Police told this scribe that deceased was resident of muhalla Allah Abad Larkana had come to visit his agriculture land at his village, where incident took place, further investigation is underway.
While three unknown armed men intercepted to motorcyclist Rajib Ali Lashari and snatched his motorcycle on gunpoint and fled away from scene in the jurisdiction of Arja Police Station.

IMTIAZ SHEIKH VISITED PUMPING STATION.

The citizens of shikarpur staged protest demonstration against NUSUC and district administration about poor sanitary system here on Monday.
The protester said that about the poor sanitary system of Shikarpur that due to negligence of the concerned authorities the sewerage water has been inundated the main roads and streets in their areas, heaps of garbage have not been removed which has resulted in spread of diseased.
Protesters further said that the concerned authorities despite their several complaints have not taken any action of the matter, he added.
On the occasion he demanded of the higher authorities to take immediate notice in the matter to provide relief to the peoples of shikarpur.
On the other side Adviser to Prime Minister and PML-F MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh visited to NUSUC Low Level Pumping Station at Jumani Hall Shikarpur and given directive to NUSUC officials to immediate cleanliness.
Muhammad Waqas Abbassi and Jameel Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
