MUZZAFARGARH: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) on Tuesday has arrested after a young girl set herself on fire and lost her life.
According to the details, Station House Officer (SHO) has been suspended over his inaction against the ASI.
A young girl Sonia committed suicide by setting herself on fire as she failed to get justice after she was raped by an ASI.
Sonia had levelled rape allegations on the accused and self-immolated in protest.
Police has booked ASI Noor Ahmed Dhakna while raids are being conducted to arrest Constable Qayyum Dasti. A case has been registered against ASI in City Police Station.
The suspended SHO was in charge of City Police Station. Instead of sacking SHO Sadar Police Station, DPO suspended SHO City Police Station.
