16 PTI MNAs to submit protest resignations

ISLAMABAD: Sixteen Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members of National Assembly (MNAs) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will tender their protest resignations in connection with the ‘Azadi March.’

The MNAs will submit their protest resignations to PTI chairman Imran Khan during a party meeting on August 4. Speaking to Geo News PTI MNA Engineer Hamid-ul-Haq claimed the resignations were summoned by Imran Khan who will present them to the National Assembly speaker on August 13.

Haq added that the PTI protest was to correct the electoral process in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari has denied that a decision has been taken for the party MNAs to resign and Imran Khan has not summoned their resignations. Mazari said there will be talks on this matter during the meeting on August 4.
