WHO travel restrictions create difficulties for pregnant women

ISLAMABAD: The WHO travel restrictions on Pakistan have created difficulties for pregnant women who will have to get a polio certificate before undertaking a foreign trip as part of the conditions.

According to a report, anti-polio drops may prove harmful to their health while the anti-polio injections which are administered to the pregnant women are not available in the country.

Health department officials said it was their compulsion to administer polio drops to the pregnant women as the injection had never been brought to Pakistan.

Gynecologists say the drops are harmful for the pregnant women.
