HYDERABAD: Villagers of Dari Miann near airport in Taluka Latifabad have complained of harassment and occupation of their land on force by builder Javed Shaikh and demanded protection from him as they fear danger to life.
Addressing news conference here Friday the villagers Khuda Bux Solangi, Mir Muhammad, Ayaz Khan and Aslam said Javed Shaikh is notorious in respect of land grabbing and for which revenue staff provides him help by forgery in revenue record. They said they were given land under land grant policy during the era of former prime minister Z.A.Bhutto in 1972.
There land is 8 acres in Deh Gidu Bander on which earlier Javed Shaikh along with Hamid and Mujahid had tried to occupy and now they have got their working partner Khalid Mahmood Butt implicated in case of murder so that they can easily take control of their land.Khalid Butt is presently arrested and facing murder case.
They demanded to release Khalid Butt. They also disclosed that they were charged Rs.2.5 millions per acre for the land while Habib farm adjacent to their village was allotted land at rate of Rs. 40 only per acre.
