HYDERABAD: Provincial leader of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Chowdhry Nizam Arain has demanded action against unregistered travel agents who according to him were looting the pilgrims of Hajj and Umra with both hands.
Addressing news conference here on Friday he said it was grace of Almighty God that Pakistan was a Muslim country and Ramzan being sacred month for Muslims but he deplored that throughout world people do bring down prices during their sacred days. However in Pakistan prices of almost all items go upward in this holy month.
He said Saudi government, Pakistani ambassador there and our religious ministry has totally failed to provide relief to Pakistanis with regard to Hajj and Umrah.
He said Saudi government issues free visa for Umra but travel agents were getting from Rs.90, 000 to Rs.100, 000 from each pilgrim and the amount of ticket and residence is not included in above visa charge.
He quoted India a non Muslim where the pilgrim is charged only Rs, 50,000/. He said we are so unfortunate that except armed forces not a single national institute was performing their duties with responsibility.
He made appeal to prime minister, army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, Pir Pagara Pir Sadrudding Shah Rashdi and Imtiaz Shaikh to take action against unregistered travel agents and to arrest them. He also made appeal to chief justice to take suo moto notice of the loot and plunder of travel agents so that common Muslim can perform Umrah.
He warned that if no action was taken against them PML (F) and national peace committee for interfaith harmony will be held protests across country. Muhammad Azhar Shaikh accompanied him during press conference.
SNP REJECTED BUDGET, OPPOSES BURMESE MUSLIMS SETTLEMENT IN KARACHI

HYDERABAD: Sindh National Party and Nari Tehrik in their joint meeting here rejected 2015-16 budget terming it as peoples enemy and meant to maintain supremacy of Punjab on the smaller provinces. The joint meeting opposed settlement of Rohinga Muslims in Karachi by adding that Sindh is not international orphanage that every one be settled there. The party stand said if the rulers have real sympathy with Burmese Muslims they should settle them in Lahore and other cities of Punjab. The announcement said SNP has already launched expel illegal immigrants from Sindh and if the government tried to set up camps of Burmese they would pull them down and foce them to run away.The meeting was chaired by Nari Tehrik chairperson Dr, Uzma Jokhyo and attended as chief guest by SNP senior leader Ashraf Noonari. Addressing the meeting Ashraf Noonari and Dr. Uzma said Sindh generates resources of 78% of national income but in return it gets only 23%. They said according to government figures there were already 9.7 million illegal immigrants in Sindh and in such situation settling Burmese in Karachi was based on Sindh enmity.
TWO DIES WHILE TWO OTHER INJURED IN ROAD ACCIDENT

SHIKARPUR: At least two motorcyclists were died while two other persons received injuries at Shikarpur-Sukkur National highway road in the jurisdiction of Hamayoon Police Station some 30 kilometers from here on Friday after Juma prayer.
According to reports two motorcyclists identified as thirty five years old Waheed Ali Panhwar and thirty years old Nadeem Ahmed Panhwar were coming towards Shikarpur from Jacobabad while a speedy car coming from opposite direction who collided heads with each other.
As a result of accident Waheed Ali Panhwar and Nadeem Ahmed Panhwar were died on the spot while two others received severe injuries.
Police officials reached on the spot handed over the body of the deceased to their heirs after conducting post-mortem examination from Rural Health Centre (RHC) Sultankot Hospital and injured persons admitted in Rural Health Centre (RHC) Sultankot Hospital for medical treatment.
Reliable source said injured persons are out of danger.

SIX PERSONS RECEIVED BURNT INJURIES

SHIKARPUR: Six persons were received severely burnt injuries due to explosion of Gas Cylinder in Qavi Abbasi hotel at Garhi Yasin some 15 kilometers from here in the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin Police Station on Thursday evening.
The injured persons identified as Shamshad Soomro, Nisar Shah, Inaam Ullah, Aness Bhutto, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and Abad Mahar were sent to Taluka Headquarter Hospital (THQ) Garhi Yasin for medical treatment and one of them was referred to Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Larkana Hospital for his critical condition.
ITA MARKED WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOR

SHIKARPUR: Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) marked world day against child labor here on Friday.
Awareness walks were taken out in different villages and Schools, main rally was take out from Naper Daro to Indus highway.
The walk was attended by education officials, teachers, school management committee members (SMC), media persons, civil society organizations, general public and students in big number participants had banners, play cards in their hands that demanded quality education for the children and elimination of child labor.
Awareness sessions were organized in rural areas to educate public against child labor.
The World Day Against child labor is an opportunity to raise your voice against child labor and is the call for all children to have a right to education said Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Laghari District manager (ITA), he further said and added that The World Day Against Child Labor this year is focusing particularly on the importance of quality education as a key step in tackling child labor, 25 million children in Pakistan are out of School today in Pakistan child labor stands main reason behind this.
Mr Agha Waheed Social welfare and In-charge Child Protection Unit (CPU) Shikarpur added that Child labor is a bitter reality in our society. Many organizations have estimated that there could be anywhere from 8 to 19 million child laborers in the country, child labor also exist in District Shikarpur.
He further said and added that in many cases, the parents of child laborers cannot afford an education for their children or they believe that education does not lead to marketable skills. However, statistics show that most child laborers go on to have children that do not attend school and the cycle of poverty continues.
Other speakers Mr. Zahid Hussain, Waseem Ayaz, Saeed Ahmed Jafri, Muneer Ahmed Napar and others added that child labor is a curse that is destroying the future prospectus of our country, many talented children that could be the asset of our country are victim of child labor which is a sorry tale.
This is unacceptable given that a principle of policy in Pakistan is to provide free education and rid the country of illiteracy.
A VILLAGER KILLED WHILE TWO OTHER INJURED IN FIRING.

SHIKARPUR: A villager was killed while two other sustained bullet injuries by some group of unidentified armed men at Shikarpur-Larkana Indus highway near Kheer Thar Canal in the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin Police Station on Thursday early hours.
According to details some group of unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on three persons who were coming towards Shikarpur from their village Dewal Khan Qambrani on their motorbike.
As a result of firing a man identified as Nakeef Qambrani was killed on the spot while his aides identified as Sudheer Jamali and Dilbar Qambrani were sustained bullet injuries.
Unidentified armed men escaped away from place of incident.
Area Police Officials (APOs) rushed on the spot, body of the deceased and injured persons sent to Taluka Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Garhi Yasin for post-mortem and treatment of the injuries persons after conducting post-mortem examination body of the deceased man handed over to his heirs.
One injured man Sudheer Jamali referred to District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Jacobabad for his critical condition. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained.

SHIKARPUR: The student of the 10th class identified as Ajeeb ul Rahman of 15 son of Abdul Bari Soomro was died due to stray bullet went off at Mohalla Bus stand Shikarpur in the jurisdiction of Lakhi Gate Police Station on Thursday noon.

THREE PERSONS INJURED IN CLASH

SHIKARPUR: Some group of armed men belonging to Jatoi tribesmen attacked on Noon tribesmen with automatic weapons when who were working in the field near their village Malook Noon in the jurisdiction of Rustam Police Station on Thursday.
As a result of fairing Dilmurad Noon, Habak Noon and Kamil Jatoi were injured in firing.
The cause behind the fringing was said to be an ongoing dispute over the matter of Karo-Kari developed between the Jatoi and Noon tribesmen.

Family of Sindhu Soomro pardons the accused

LARKANA: Relatives of 5 year old Fozia alias Sindhu Soomro who was suffocated to death after sexually abused by accused here at Yar Muhammad Colony Larkana few month back has pardoned the arrested accused, she refused to identify the three accused during the hearing at court on Thursday.
According to reports: Begum Khatoon mother of victim Fozia alias Sindhu Soomro who was suffocated to death after the sexual assaults in the limits of Waleed Police Station appeared in the court along with two other witnessed Allah Dino alias Manthar Soomro and Abdul Karim Soomro and they recorded their statements and refused to identify accused Younis alias Bablu Jatoi, Shoaib Jatoi and Yar Muhammad Jatoi.
The next hearing will be held on 13 June 2015.
The sources informed that family of Fozia alias Sindhu Soomro have pardoned to accused after the reconciliation, accused side paid the blood money to victim family

LARKANA: The Commissioner Larkana Ghulam Akbar Leghari on Thursday held open katchary at office of Assistant Commissioner Miro Khan and listened the problems and public grievances against the different departments and issued his directives for resolution of their issues on the occasion.
A large number of people belonging from different walk of life among traders, citizens, villagers, social and political activists participated.
during the open katchary, public presented the bunch of complaints against the local administration particularly TMA, SEPCO, Police, Revenue and other departments, several people complained about the non availability of potable water and load shedding.
The Commissioner Larkana Ghulam Akbar Leghari assured the people of his full support and said that basic problems of local people of Miro Khan Tehsil will be mitigated, he directed the local administration as well as district administration of Kamber Shahdadkot to pay regular visit of different union councils and deliver the all basic facilities and other services at their door steps.
Earlier Commissioner Larkana visited the several ongoing development schemes in Miro Khan tehsil among potable water scheme, bus terminal, trauma center at Taluka hospital,girls higher secondary school, stadium and others and directed the concerned officials to complete by stipulated time and ensure the quality work.
Talking to media, he told that it was his first visit to any tehsil after taking charge of commissioner, as he paid visits to all district headquarters, adding that an objective behind his visit was to meet public personally and addressing their problems, he said that major issue of this area is shortage of safe drinking water, people were deprived of their basic rights.
Commissioner told that on the directives of MNA Faryal Talpur mega water supply scheme for Miro Khan has been provided which would be completed by one and half month.
Assistant Commissioner Miro Khan Assadullah Bhatti, officials of works and services, TMA and others were present on the occasion.
