SHIKARPUR: Three persons including two boys were killed in an armed clash took place between two rival groups of Brohi and Kakepota tribes men at village Maroon Kakepota within the jurisdiction of Gharhi Yasin Police station on Saturday morning.
According to reports some groups of armed men belonging to brohi community attacked with automatic weapons on the kakepota tribe men working at their field outside the village Maroon Kakepota.
As a result of firing three persons belonging to Kakepota identified as Dost Muhammad of 65, Yameen of 14 and Majid Hussain of 13, were killed.
The assailants after firing managed their good escape from the place of incident.
Receiving an information gharhi yasin police rushed to the spot and controlled over the situation. Later police brought the dead bodies of the deceased persons at Gharhi Yasin taluka hospital where the bodies were handed over to their relatives after postmortem.
The motive behind the clash was said to be an old dispute going on between the parties since last 15-20 years in which more than 17 persons of both the parties were killed so far.
Neither the case was registered nor no any arrest of the culprits was reported till evening.
30 FT. WIDE BREACH OCCURS IN CHOHI SHAKH.
SHIKARPUR: A 30-foot wide breach accrued in Chohi Shaakh near at Village Lodra on Sunday and as a result the breach water inundated standing crops in the surrounding villages Muhammad Yousif Shar, Gul Khan Jaffari, Mullan Wazir Ali Chukhiro and others.
Meanwhile the residents of the effected village staged a protest demonstration against the Irrigation department authorities for not taking immediate measures to fill the breach.
On the occasion the protesters Syed Faiq Ali shah, Muhammad Yousif, Gul Jaffari and others said that We have lost millions and he demanded of the concerned authorities to provide them financial assistance, otherwise have threatened to extend their protest circle.
