SPLA FORMS COMMITTEE TO RESOLVE ORGANIZATIONAL CRISIS TILL THE NEXT ELECTION

Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association Action committee has formed a committee comprising senior professors who have dedicated their whole life for cause of association for resolution of the organizational crisis in SPLA. Decision to this effect was taken at an important meeting of association held at Sachal college here under chair of professor Dr. Irshad and was largely attended. The meeting discussed the election schedule issued by one group which was considered as in contravention of constitution as such illegal that has caused crisis in organization.The meeting was addressed by prof.Asif Zaidi, pro.Yakoob Chandio, pro.Ghulam Hussain, pro.Aslam Parvez Khaskheli, pro.Manzoor Kalhoro, pro.Ali Raza Gad, pro.Mumtaz Leghari, pro.Muhammad Ali Noonari, pro. Muhammad Khan Kiryo, pro.Radomal, pro.Muhammad Moosa Kaloi,pro.Abid Raza Shah, pro.Fazal Chandio, pro.Khuram Rafi Siddiqui, pro.Ghaznafar Shah,pro.Madad Ali Brohi,pro.Madad Ali Kiryo, pro.Abdul Razak Bhatti,pro.Ayaz Halepoto and others addressed the meeting. The meeting discussed various suggestions for resolving the organizational crisis and decided to form a committee of senior professors who were assigned the task to play their positive role to resolve the crisis. The committee comprises following honorable professors: Professor Liaquat Aziz Solangi chairman,pro.Agha Khalid, pro.Ali Akbar Shah, pro.Nazir Hussain Pathan,pro.Himat Ali Pitaffi,pro.Ghulam Sabir, pro.Muhammad Nawaz Odho, pro.Lal Bux Solangi, pro.Saeed Zafar,pro.Kazo Siraj, pro.Aziz Ujjan,pro.Rasool Bux Solangi,pro.Muzaffar Rizvi and pro.Abdul Karim Bhatti. The committee has been requested to finalise its findings by 15 September and if it succeeds in resolving differences then secretary industry will be asked to appoint administrator to hold elections otherwise they reserve right to get redress through legal proceeding. The meeting also made it clear that after inquiry report of Registrar Joint Stock Companies no group has right to hold elections on its own as such elections would be held illegal and immoral.The meeting also demanded from Sindh government to issue posting orders for professors who have been promoted from grade 18 to 19 so to end unrest among college teachers.
