LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq Thursday said he has presented a formula to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to defuse the present political tension in the country.
“If issues were not resolved, a tragedy can occur after August 14,” Sirajul Haq warned while talking to media representatives here.
He said the Prime Minister had also assured that consultation would be held on suggestions put forth by the stakeholders.
Holding the government more responsible for the present political tension, the JI Ameer said staging rallies, public meetings and processions constitute basic rights of the opposition.
He said those who are advising the government of using force are actually committing a crime of misleading it.
Sirajul Haq said such a moment must be avoided when all eyes start looking towards ‘Saudi Embassy’.
“Both the forces are political rivals, they don’t represent any armed groups,” he noted, adding, however that it is PTI’s right to demand mid-term elections and resignation of Prime Minister.
