HYDERABAD: Corruption in Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Hyderabad is touching its maximum heights, the officers at helms of affairs continue to make new recruitments since 2011 despite ban.
According to the SBCA employees told authorities involve in regularization and promotion of newly recruited employees ignoring senior employees waiting for regularizing since last many years.
SBCA employees action committee leaders Shakil Ahmed,Aijaz Khoso and Sherdil Khaskheli in a press statement alleged that the senior employees were working on scant salary of Rs.3000 to 6000 per month but the newly recruited were being paid Rs.8000 to 18000 per month.
They said according to standing orders of finance department the salary of ad hoc employees has been fixed at Rs.7000 and labour department has issued order to increase same to 8000.
They made appeal to chief justice chief minister and human rights bodies to take notice of their plight and injustice and hold inquiry in corruption of SBCA officers.
SNP WARNS TO LOCK OUT MQM OFFICES IF NOT SEALED BY GOVT

HYDERABAD: Sindh National Party has demanded to seal the offices of Mutehida Qaumi Movement and has warned that if government fails to seal their offices workers of SNP would do it themselves.
In a statement issued here senior leader of SNP Ashraf Noonari asked for lodging case of sedition on members of MQM Rabita Committee and its MNAs and MPAs after the anti state statements of Altaf Hussain as they have not dissociated themselves from his statement.
He said Muhajirs had given sacrifices for Pakistan but the heart of so called leader of Muhajirs was with India as such he has brought laughing stock to Muhajirs.
He asked patriotic Muhajirs to distance themselves from Altaf. He also asked people of other nationalities including Sindhis, Siraekis, Balochis, Pushtoons and others to dissociate themselves from MQM which has proved as anti Pakistan.
Noonari demanded to demolish 90 the centre of MQM terrorists and cases of sedition be lodged against members of Rabita Committee and assembly members of MQM.
He said his party would continue supporting Rangers an Pak Army for eliminating terrorism from Karachi.

HYDERABAD: A minor girl Shumaila resident of H/10/140 ward G Gul Shah Bukhari road Pinjrapol Hyderabad has made appeal to Pakistan and Indian authorities to get her father released from Jodhpur jail ( India ) where he is languishing since 2013.
Shumaila, herself patient of nephrology and lives on weekly dialysis told news conference here that her father Muhammad Yousuf along with family had gone to India on 23 February 2013 to attend marriage ceremony in relatives where coming back he was arrested by Indian police under custom act.
She told that their relatives hired a lawyer and court acquitted her father but Indian authorities were keeping him in Jodhpur jail till today.She said her mother died of shock and she herself was suffering from nephrology and can die any time.
Accompanied with her uncle Abid Qureshi who himself was heart patient she and her uncle have made appeal to prime minister,army chief and president Pakistan to help get her father released from India jail.Shumaila expressed her last desire to see her father alive lest she may not die of kidney disease of which she was suffering.
It may be noted that innocent people are made to suffer due to enmity between Pakistan and India. Last day Indian envoy Raghwan had visited a 24 years old Indian girl Geeta in Karachi at Edhi home who had entered Pakistan by mistake 15 years back and assured her of reuniting her with her family in India.
The same can be done in case of Muhammad Yousuf and Pakistani envoy in India can visit Yousuf in Jodhpur jail and arrange his return to his family in Hyderabad ,Pakistan.

SUKKUR: The Senior Sindh Minister for Information & Irrigation Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the assemblies cannot be sacrificed over PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s sentimental politics, our leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto struggled hard and sacrificed her life to keep the stability of assemblies in the country.
The main flow of water is passing through Sukkur barrage with its speed facing no hindrances at anywhere, and at present, the situation of high flood is under control of the government.
This was stated by him while addressing a press conference at the office of XEN Sukkur barrage at Sukkur barrage.
The Senior Sindh Minister on Information & Irrigation Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said it is no doubt at present it is a high flood situation, but now water level has started decreasing since last two days adding that, three days ago at Guddu Barrage, it was 7 lac 54 thousand cusecs, although, now it is decreased there and reached at 07 lac cusecs.
However, at Sukkur barrage, the upper flow is 7 lac cusecs and the lower flow is decreased up to 06 lac cusecs after releasing 42 thousand cusecs water flow into right and left bank canals.
He said when information received regarding water pressure during the last night near Sagyoon and today morning near Bagarji, the situation was brought under control with the efforts of Irrigation staff. Answering to a question, Nisar Ahmed Khurhro said that for river system, Sindh’s share in Federal Flood Commission is 26 per cent, and it has been asked the Prime Minister that for completion of the schemes, release of the funds is important adding that he said, the Sindh Government on its behalf through annual development program is working for repair and strengthening of the dykes.
He further said that the level of shank dyke of Ghotki now has been increased due to stone pitching there, however, other all the protective dykes have also been increased up to 6 feet.
To a question regarding short length of Khairpur-Larkana bridge than the other bridges, the Senior Minister said that design and measurement of Khairpur-Larkana bridge was approved during the General Musharraf’s regime and now in future it would be considered regarding the study of this mega project adding that said, at present, the river’s main flow of water is passing with its natural speed facing no any hindrances at anywhere.
To another question, he said that PPP have struggled a lot and sacrificed for the sake of democracy and stability of the assemblies in the country. After Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was also separated from us and we have always accepted deaths by hangings, he added.
He said even after the assassination of our slain leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto we said that we need/ want democracy and the assemblies, and now for Imran Khan’s sentimental politics, how can assemblies be sacrificed! He showed expressions of astonishment and said that a captain of the past playing accompanied with 18 players cannot control his 18 members, now one says one thing and the others differentiate and say something different.
However, he suggested for other political parties that it would be in the better interests of survival of democratic process to avoid from insisting for rejection of PTI members’ rejection from assemblies’ membership.
To a question regarding Karachi operation and Rangers letter to MQM leader Farooq Sattar, mentioning the list of target killers, he said it is because of the Rangers and Police operation in Karachi, that the peace of the city has been restored. After this, the senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro also visited Ulra Jageer dyke in Khairpur to review repair work there.
Speaking to media personnel there, he clarified that there is no danger to the protective dykes and flood pressure within next ten days will be reduced and cautioned to landlords to remove their Zamindari dykes themselves, otherwise, the government will remove these bunds strictly, because these Zamindari dykes are caused for increase of pressure level over the real protective dykes.
On this occasion, MNA Nouman Islam Shaikh, the Special Assistant to CM, Dr. Arshad Mughal, Irrigation Secretary Zaheer Haider Shah, Chief Engineer Sukkur Barrage Wali Muhammad Naich and others were also accompanied with the senior minister.
ANTI-CORRUPTION RAID ON ACCOUNTS OFFICE SHIKARPUR

SHIKARPUR: The investigation team of Anti-corruption led by Assistant Director Larkana Noorullah Shaikh and Circle Officer Shikarpur Shahid Hussain Shahani raided on the office of the District Accounts Office Shikarpur on Thursday evening.
The Anti-corruption team took the record in its possession for checking. While the District Accounts Officer (DAO) Altaf Hussain Mangi and Assistant District Accounts Officer (ADAO) Aziz Ahmed Daudpoto and other competent officials were disappeared during the raid therefore no any arrest could be made.
According to reports District Accounts Officer (DAO) Shikarpur and his other office staffer were involved in the corruption and misappropriation and misuse while showing false record in national funds of more than rupees 25 crores committed by Education Department, Irrigation Department and other Government Departments.
According to reports the raid was conducted on the order by Education Secretary and the Special Inspection team of Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
The FIR will be registered against the concerned officers after checking the record which was taken in the custody of Anti-corruption authorities concerned, sources said.
COWBOY KILLED HIS BROTHER INJURED WHILE 20 BUFFALOES LOOTED

SHIKARPUR: A cowboy was killed while his brother received bullet injuries on offering resistance when some group of unidentified armed men tried to snatch 20 buffaloes worth of million, incident took place at Choie Shaakh near village Mehran Bijarani katcha area of Khanpur in the limits of Napar kot Police Station on last late evening.
As per details some group of unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on them.
As a result of firing a cowboy identified as Ghulam Muhammad Bijarani of 40, was killed on the spot and his brother identified as Muhammad Nawaz Bijrani sustained bullet injuries. While armed men took 20 buffaloes for their possession and manage to escape.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khanpur Abdul Malik Bhutto and Station House Officer (SHO) Napar kot Ali Akbar Almani rushed after passage of three hours, relatives of deceased said.
Area Police shifted the body of the deceased to Taluka Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Khanpur for conducting the post-mortem examination after having conducted post-mortem examination the body of the deceased handed over to his heirs. While the injured Muhammad Nawaz referred to Civil Hospital Sukkur after providing him first aid at THQ Hospital Khanpur due to his critical condition.
Ghulam Nabi Bijarani the brother of the deceased and Moula Bakhsh Bijarani the cousin of the deceased allegedly said that our relatives who are influential persons of the area who attacked on our brothers for buffaloes which were worth of million, they said at Khanpur Hospital.
FIR was not registered SHO Naparkot Ali Akbar Almani told to this correspondent when this story was filed.

SHIKARPUR: A villager identified as Altaf Hussain Jaffari residential of village Khedo Jaffari was received injuries due to two motor rickshaw collided with each other at Marri Mohalla in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari Police Station here on Thursday morning.
Injured villager shifted to District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment by local people.
Injured villager was reported out of danger, duty doctor said.

SHIKARPUR: Like as other parts of the World, The World Breast Feeding Week (01st August to 07th August 2015) is celebrating here in Shikarpur by Save the Children Pakistan Program with the collaboration of European Union and with the joint support of Department of Health, People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Sindh.
To promote the Breast feeding and its importance, a joint WALK was taken out from District Health Office (DHO) to Station Road while keeping banners and placards in their hands on Wednesday.
The WALK was led by District Health Officer Shikarpur Dr. Captain Muneer Ahmed Jokhio and Sr. Nutrition Coordinator Asfandyar Khan.
The IYCF Kits were distributed on the occasion of World Breast Feeding Week in RBUT Civil Hospital by DHO Shikarpur Dr. Muneer Ahmed Jokhio amongst the lactating mothers.
On the occasion of World Breast Feeding Week, the regular awareness sessions on Breast Feeding / IYCF are being continued at 45 different Health Facilities. Meanwhile meetings with Mother Support Groups are also scheduled to encourage the working women generally and housewives specially to keep continue their healthy practice of Breast Feeding because Breast Milk is the perfect food for babies and the only one that protects them from illness naturally, when mother breast feeds her baby, body releases a Love “Hormone” which helps the mother happier and less stressed. Not only this but mother also losses their weight while continuing this practice.

SHIKARPUR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shikarpur Abid Saleem Qureshi presided a meeting to review arrangements of 69th Independence Day here on Wednesday.
According to press statement issued by Information Officer Shikarpur that the Independence Day of Pakistan will be celebrated with national zeal and enthusiasm like other parts of the country.
The day celebration will be started with thanks of giving prayers in all Masjids and later main flag hoisting ceremony will be held in Deputy Commissioner Office Shikarpur and educational centers across District and directed to all officers of District to participate in flag hoisting ceremony while certificates will be distributed in officers.
Later on, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shikarpur along with other officer will be distributed fruits and gifts in District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital and Ganga bai Hospital among the patients.
Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur directed to North Sindh Urban Services Company (NSUSC) official that they ensure cleanliness in the city.
