LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Saturday that Dolphin Police Unit on pattern of the Turkish police would be setup in Punjab to check street crimes.
Addressing a Turkish National Police delegation, the chief minister said the first unit will start working by the end of this year. He said that the Punjab Police Integrated Command and Control Centre project will be completed this year on the lines of Istanbul Command and Control Centre.
The head of the Turkish delegation assured all out cooperation for establishing the Dolphin Unit and the Command and Control Centre in Punjab.
