GHAZNI: Twelve persons were killed and two others wounded following roadside bomb explosions in the Giro district of southern Ghazni province on Saturday, an official said.
The blasts took place at around 9:30am in Mazar village as two vehicles carrying locals who were returning from a wedding ceremony struck roadside bombs, the administrative head of Giro, Abdullah Khairkhah, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Most of the victims were reportedly women, he said, fearing fatality figures might be more than reported.
