Senior journalist’s mother passed away due to prolonged illness

Ghotki: Senior journalist’s mother passed away after prolonged ailment of in the late hours of Wednesday. Mother of Shams Bhutto reporter to Sindh TV, died at Agha Khan University hospital where she was under treatment. The funeral prayers were offered at Daharki while her body laid to rest at ancestor’s graveyard at Mathelo.

GHOTKI – Ghotki is the second largest industrial district of Pakistan which is deprived of having its basic rights due to the negligence of government and atrocities of multinational companies. Pakistan is confronting energy crisis and the current government has been failed to overcome energy crisis, simultaneously solar energy sector is growing rapidly, may be another solar mafia is trying to enter in Pakistan industry to change the mind of government from solving energy crisis and to loot the hard earned money of people. People are compelled to rush into the market for the purchase solar fans and lights, due to prolonged power outage in Daharki.
Understanding this need, Engro Fertilizers Limited has launched a project of solar lights installation worth 3.5 million rupees in Ghotki and nearby villages.
Talking to this correspondent, Aun Muhammad, President of Sahara Committee and Director of the project said that solar lights have been installed at Jung Colony, Jumo Arbani, Abbas Sangar, and Rasheed Arain villages, worth 0.4 million rupees, while 3 million rupees will be spent this year for further installation of solar lights in the villages and main market of Daharki. 22 solar panels of 100 watts have been installed in Jung colony, while 30 solar panels of 100 and 200 watts each are under installation in different parts of Ghotki, the project will be completed at the second quarter of 2014, he said.
The maintenance responsibility goes to Town Committee Daharki but poor performance and huge corruption in the department have compelled the citizens to own the responsibility. Community organizations will be responsible for the maintenance of the solar street lights.
