ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has issued notice to Opposition Leader in National Assembly (SC) Syed Khursheed Shah over the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) scandal.
According to the details, the apex court was hearing a contempt of court proceedings against the former chairman of the EOBI Zafar Iqbal Gondal when Shah’s name appeared during the hearing as a beneficiary.
The notice was served to Shah who was then serving as the Minister for Labour and Manpower. The court has ordered him to submit a detailed reply in the next hearing.
