ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, through an official correspondence, has asked Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to appear before the upcoming 250th Senate Session and make a statement on the remarks made by certain members of the US Congress appearing in the national media a couple of days ago.
” Such callous remarks on various occasions by the US lawmakers has become a routine” , Raza Rabbani conveys in his letter to the Advisor on Foreign Affairs, adding that Pakistan’s Parliament cannot be a silent bystander to such attacks on our integrity , sovereignty and national security, says a press release issued here on Saturday.
The Chairman Senate had earlier, in his statement, conveyed his displeasure over the remarks of US lawmakers and had expressed the hope that saner elements in the US Congress would take note of such irresponsible statements.
