DUBAI: Mohammad Hafeez has been ruled out for the only T-20 international against Australia to be played on Sunday.
Hafeez injured his hand during fielding practice and needed a few stitches for a web splitting.
It’s a big setback for Pakistan as Hafeez is an important member of the T-20 squad specially in the absence of ace spin bowler Saeed Ajmal.
The former T-20 captain’s participation in the ODI series against the same opponents is also doubtful.
Lahore opening batsmen Sami Aslam has been include in the squad in place of Hafeez and is expected to play on Sunday.
