ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan had become the Taliban’s ‘strategic partner.’
Speaking to the media here, the information minister said Imran Khan had the task of damaging Pakistan’s democratic institutions and the Taliban had the task of damaging the country’s defence institutions.
Rashid added that the state was using all its powers to make Pakistan safe and peaceful. He added that the government would use all resources to tackle threats.
The information called Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri the ‘guru’ of Imran Khan and Taliban who would attack the constitution of Pakistan.
According to Rashid, the government was ready to face challenges posed by Imran Khan, Taliban and Tahirul Qadri.
