PESHAWAR: At least seven people were killed and 22 others injured in rain related incident in the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan’s tribal areas bordering Afghanistan which are again hit by severe rain and hailstorms.
At least 18 people had been killed and more than 80 others injured in Peshawar last week in different rain related incidents.
According to Deputy Commissioner Zahirul Islam, five members of a family died and 12 others injured as roof of their house collapsed in Jamrud, Khyber Agency.
The officials also confirmed that two people have died and 13 others injured on Thursday evening due to rain related incidents in Peshawar.
Seven dead bodies were received at the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), while 22 injured people were brought there also. Three injured were received at Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) and discharged after the first aid.
Moreover, two injured were received at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). One was discharged after the first aid, while the other was still getting medical attention there.
