LARKANA: Home Minister Sindh Sohail Anwar Siyal on Tuesday said that target killings, street crime and other criminal activities have been reduced, a bill regarding the extension of Rangers in Sindh will be passed from Sindh Assembly.
Talking to newsmen during visit to Akil-Aghani Loop Bund near Larkana, Home Minister said that law and order situation in Sindh is now better than before, the objective behind reshufflings in some ministries was to improve the performance of Sindh government, and changes in folios will yield positive results.
To a question, about the action against the Police officers and cops, home minister said that department is probing into the matter, in this regard scrutiny committee has been formed, which submit the report in days to come.
Mr. Siyal talking about the Karachi operation, he said that provincial government is striving hard day and night to maintain the law and order situation in Sindh, law and order situation is favorable with support of Police and Rangers, even traders of Karachi have endorsed and admitted the during the Eid purchasing brought record increase which is proof of good law and order situation, he claimed.
Replying question future presence of Rangers in Sindh, he said that after the 18th amendment, approval from Sindh Assembly is compulsory and essential, in this regard bill is to pass within 60 days, it will be passed in stipulated time frame.
He said that it was baseless allegation regarding the helping of corrupt People for fleeing to abroad, he said that We have not victimized to any other, if any person takes law in hand to get criminals released forcefully from Police Station, no one is above the law, then definitely action would be taken.
On the occasion S E Irrigation Amjad Pervaiz Dawach briefed the Home Minister regarding the flood situation and told that there is no threat to protective embankments of River Indus, all the dykes are intact and under the strict supervision round the clock.
Earlier, Home Minister accompanied by his brother President PPP Taluka Bakrani Tariq Anwar Siyal, Commissioner Larkana Ghulam Akbar Leghari, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Javed Ali Jagirani and other officials visited the vulnerable dykes of River Indus including Nusrat Loop Bund, Morio Bund, Akil Aghani Bund, Ababd Mangli Bund, Larkana Khairpur Bridge, Seri Bund and others, he directed the Police to carry out the patrolling of protective bunds along with irrigation officials.
