Prof. Ibrahim sees govt-army compromise over Musharraf

PEAHWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami leader Prof. Ibrahim has said that it seems the government and the army have achieved a compromise to give a safe passage to Pervez Musharraf.

He called on the army to push for the trial of a traitor instead of backing him. He said the government and the army not being on the same page and Taliban infighting were harmful to the talk process.

Ibrhim welcomed the Taliban’s statement in which they said public places would not be attacked.

He appealed to the Taliban to also avoid from attacking army and other institution.
