BADIN: Apprehensions & protest by PPP senior workers & office bearers against disappointment of participation in workers convention at Lahore.
In the details, senior workers & office bearers of PPP parent organizations including PPP-Youth Wing, SPSF, Cultural Wing, labor Wing & other showed their apprehensions & protest against disappointment of participation in workers convention to be held on 30th November 2014 at Lahore.
Senior workers & office bearers of Badin PPP parent organizations including Tanveer Ahmed Arain, Secretary General, PPP-Youth Wing Sindh, Rifat Naveed, Divisional Secretary, PPP-Youth Wing, Bhambhore Division, Khan Sahib Jamali, District President, PPP-Youth Wing, District Badin, Shoukat Memon, Vice President, PPP-Youth Wing, District Badin, Ghulam Murtaza Memon, Amanullah Korai & others said that those loyal & sincere workers & office bearers who had sacrificed for party including harsh punishment, detention for several years, sustained lashes have excluded of those names selected for participation in workers convention.
They said that PPP senior workers & Office bearers of parent Organizations of PPP have also recorded their protest against such in-justification & also intend to raise voice against district & local PPP management for such in-justified decision.
They appealed to Chairman, PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to take immediate action against such in-justification with senior workers & office bearers of PPP parent organizations.

LARKANA: Shirkat Gah organized a one day consultative seminar in local hotel Larkana on the Darul Aman issues here on Thursday.
A large number of representatives of civil society belonging different walk of life among lawyers, Doctors, Journalists, representatives of NGOs, officials of Social Welfare Department and Darul Aman participated in seminar and shared their views on problems of women who have taken asylum.
On the occasion speakers Shariq Imam representative of Shirkat Gah addressing said that incidence of violence against women in Sindh are on rise state has failed to meet several of its commitments towards the millennium development goals, especially on issues related to women, legislation in law should be made to avoid such incidents.
He informed that Shirkat Gah is working in Sindh province to bring reforms in three Darul Aman among Larkana, Sukkur and Hyderabad and arranging seminars and holding orientation meetings with civil society for positive changes.
Deputy Director Social Welfare Department Larkana Fahim Akhtar Bhutto in his speech said that SOP introduced by Shirkat Gah can not be implemented in Darul Aman of upper Sindh it is not applicable due to security threat, NGOs which are working on projects of millions rupees have so far don no thing for the welfare of Darul Aman inmates.

LARKANA: UNICIEF organized a one day public awareness seminar on Tundrast Pakistan ( Healthy Pakistan) here at Hilal Ahmar BHU Larkana on Thursday.
Speakers among Deputy District Officer Health Department Larkana Dr Afzal Abro addressing said that despite of hectic efforts of Pakistan government has failed to control on Polio diseases which posing big threat to new generation, every individual should play his role for national cause to combat the dangerous Polio disease.
He expressed concern over the prevailing situation and detection of new Polio cases in Shikarpur and Mehar cities and said that it is alarming situation in Sindh and Pakistan about the Polio disease, several countries are formulating their policies to prevent polio effected countries like Pakistan and might impose ban on landing of Pakistani Flights on their countries, which is deplorable situation.
DDO Health said that Larkana is Polio free district but despite of that we will have to expedite our efforts to fight against Polio and save the lives of innocent children to be paralyzed, we appeal to parents and representatives of civil society to get their children vaccinated .
Dr Afzal Abro disclosed that 40 to 50 Leady Health Workers (LHW) are ghost and receiving salaries with out performing their duties, he appealed to ghost LHW to ensure their participation in upcoming Polio drive to be started on 8 December 2014, other wise stern action will be taken against them, he warned.
On the occasion Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Shaikh, Dr Farman Abro, Asif Magsi CDO, Safiullah Leghari, Sajid Leghari and others also spoke.
TWO KILLED-ONE INJURED.

SHIKARPUR: The matrimonial dispute claimed two precious lives at village Murtaza Jaffari within the jurisdiction of Golo daro police station near Gharhi Yasin on Thursday early in the morning.
Some group of Khosa tribe men armed with automatic weapons assaulted on the house of their rival group men belonging to Bhatti community when they were sleeping in the house.
As a result of firing on the house of Gul Hassan Bhatti by khosa armed men one Rahib Bhatti and his wife Sanam Bhatti were killed. While the house master Gul Hassan Bhatti father of deceased Rahib Bhatti sustained serious bullet injuries.
The dead bodies and the injured were sent to Gharhi Yasin Taluka Hospital. The injured was admitted in hospital for medical treatment while the bodies of deceased Rahib and his wife Sanam were handed over to their relatives after conducting post-mortem examination at Gharhi Yasin hospital.
The cause behind the incident was said to be a dispute over the matrimonial matter.
No FIR was registered till 5:00 on Thursday. #
HUNGER STRIKE

SHIKARPUR: The Activists of Shikarpur Bachayo Tahreek continued their token hunger strike on the second day on Thursday at Lakhi Gate Clock Tower chowk here in protest against the failure of district and NSUSC administrations towards the sanitation and disposal of drainage water of shikarpur district on Thursday.
The Protesters have threatened to launch serious protest movement if the sanitation and disposal of sewerage water systems were not improved within a week.

KHAIRPUR: The Pre-Entry Test 2015 for B. Ed (Hons) Four-Year Program was conducted at the Department of Teacher Education, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Thursday.
Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor, SALU, visited the venue of the test.
Speaking to the appearing candidates V.C said education is the most important weapon to eradicate the extremism from the society. She said today Pakistan needs highly qualified, competent, committed and credible human resource, to get it out of multiple crisis it is passing through.
Dr. Parveen Shah said the efforts of USAID are commendable in the establishment of Faculty of Education at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.
The Pre-Entry Test was conducted in transparent manner, conducive and congenial environment. Total 105 eligible candidates appeared in the test against 40 allocated seats.
Prof. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman, Department of Teacher education briefed the Vice Chancellor about the available facilities for the students at the Department.
Meanwhile, Dr. Parveen Shah also visited the ongoing 2nd Semester Examinations in the Faculty of Management Sciences. Dr. Shah advised the students to work hard in the pursuit of academic excellence and prepare themselves for future challenges. She added.

KHAIRPUR: The spokesperson of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has announced on Thursday, that those students who have passed their examinations in first attempt in academic year 2013 are eligible to apply as per following criteria.
The students of BS Part-I having more than 60% marks in HSC Part-II and students of Masters (Previous) having more than 60% and above marks in Bachelor are eligible to apply for Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme and the students of BS Part-II, III, IV and Masters (Final) having 70% and above marks in their previous examinations are eligible to apply.
The failure and improver students of academic year 2013 are not eligible for this scheme.
