ISLAMABAD: Ahead of the Panama case verdict on April 20, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned the party central executive committee (CEC) meeting in Islamabad. The senior PPP leadership was earlier given a call for the meeting in the capital. CEC members from around the country have now been summoned to establish a strategy over the possible outcome of the Panama case. The Supreme Court reserved the decision of Panama case on February 23 for indefinite time period. The apex court, on April 18, revealed that it will announce the verdict of the high-profile case on April 20. The trial of the case that ran for around four months saw Imran Khan using the leak to accuse the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz of misleading the nation and looting hard-earned money of the taxpayers and managed to draw a consensus of opposition parties to demand the premier to resign and offer himself for accountability. Strict security arrangements are being designed inside and outside the SC.Unusual security would be given to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chairman Siraj-ul-Haq and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed.
