KARACHI: In a rapid response move by the police, a fleeing target killer involved in firing on a car in Karachi’s Hyderi area on Wednesday was arrested within a few hours.
Earlier today, two armed assailants on a motorbike fired on the car killing two people inside the vehicle on the spot.
SP Gulberg, Faisal Noor told Geo News that the assailants had targetted a trader named Muhammad Kareem. He added that Kareem’s driver Muhammad Haq Nawaz also died on the spot.
A police team took immediate action and tracked down one of the suspects from a nearby area to take him into custody.
The suspect named Muhammad Hashim from Charsadda, allegedly belongs to a banned organisation.
According to the SP Gulberg, interrogation with the suspect in custody is being carried out while a search operation for the second suspect is still underway.
IG Sindh, Ghulam Haider Jamali announced an award of Rs. 5 lacs for the police team.
