PESHAWAR: Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Saturday said that Pakistan is leading country of the Muslim Ummah and the terrorists are out to weaken it.
In an interview in Peshawar, OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani has said that there is no space of such barbarism in Islam as we witnessed in Peshawar.
He asked Ulema to discourage terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations. He stressed the need for the elimination of social causes which lead to terrorism.
Iyad Ameen Madani said that OIC has expressed full support to the government and the people of Pakistan over the tragic incident in Peshawar.
He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and early recovery of the injured students and teachers.
Earlier today, the OIC Secretary General accompanied by Corps Commander Lt General Hadayatur Rehman visited the injured students at CMH in Peshawar.
