20 suspected militants kills in Khyber airstrikes

PESHAWAR: At least 20 militants were killed Saturday in jet fighter strikes in different parts of Khyber’s Tirah Valley, official sources said.
The latest airstrikes come as the army has escalated its offensive against local and foreign militants in the northwestern tribal region.
Key commander of Darra Adamkhel Taliban killed in Peshawar clash: ISPR
At least five militants including a key commander were killed on Saturday in a clash between security forces and militants in Bazargari area in the Frontier Region of Peshawar.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the clash took place near the town of Darra Adam Khel, leaving five militants, including key commander Mustafa alias Manan of Darra Adamkhel Taliban, dead.
Two security personnel were also injured in the clash.
With the deadly Taliban attack om Peshawar Army Public School, the army offensive against militants appears to be gearing up after the country’s political and military leadership agreed on a full-blown operation.
