LAHORE – Pakistan Railways has earned an amount of over two billion rupees from freight service in the first ten months of current fiscal year, the Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.
According to officials, improvement in freight service has enhanced the railways revenue to 121 percent as compared to last year.
They said the availability of locomotives for freight service has been enhanced from eight to twenty five on daily basis.
The officials said Pakistan Railways is expected to receive more locomotives in near future which will further boost the freight traffic.
