LARKANA: A team of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) comprising on 8 members led by Professor Asif Ali Shah visited the Bibi Asifa Dental College (BADC) of Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana to decide its fate for reorganization Bibi Asifa Dental Collage with PMDC here on Saturday.
Again PMDC team consisting on 8 members among Professor Rafiq Ahmed from Rai Medical College Sargodha, Professor Israr Ahmed Jinah Medical College Peshawar, Pro Khalid Rehman from Khabar College of Dentist Peshawar, Dr Habib Rehman Assistant Registrar PMDC Islamabad, Dr Yousif convener Bibi Asifa Dental College Larkana and others under supervision of Professor Asif Ali Shah reached at Larkana and visited the different departments of BADC on the occasion Principal Dr Illyas Shaikh gave presentation about the college and said that all facilities according PMDC standard are being provided, college is functioning with new building, oral Pathology lab, well advanced equipments and other materials.
The team will submit report with PMDC authority to decide the fate of 150 students of Bibi Asifa Dental College (BADC) Larkana 0f Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University ( SMBBMU) Larkana who had been protesting since several months for registration of Bibi Asifa Dental College Larkana with PMDC, administration failed to register BADC from PMDC and HEC for past three years, college was being run without the recognition due to that future and career of students was at stake, the visit of PMDC team has brought the ray of hope for meeting long standing demand of students and college administration.
LARKANA: Agriculture Extension department Larkaan organized a one day Seminar on “grow more wheat” here at office of Director Agriculture Extension Larkana on Friday.
Chief guest of program Deputy Commissioner Larkana Ghanwar Ali Leghari speaking on the occasion said that objective of arranging the seminar was to encourage the cultivation of wheat crop and providing information to farming community regarding the modern methods and use of new technology in field of agriculture to get maximum yield.
He said that there was communication gap between the agriculture and growers for sharing the information and educate the grower about new research and scientific methods increase the production of wheat and prevention of diseases.
DC Larkana Ghanwar Ali Leghari stated that it needs planning to formulate the policies to meet the demands of growing population in country, he directed to all Mukhtiarkars of taluks and Agriculture officials to extend their cooperation in betterment of agriculture sector.
Deputy Commissioner said that after the Ayoub Khan era, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto brought the revolutionary changes in agriculture and introduced new agriculture policies for poor farmers.
Former Director Agriculture Ahmed Nawaz Naich, Deputy Executive FFC Sukkur Abid Karim, renowned grower and agriculturist Gada Hussain Mahessar and others also addressed in seminar.
Earlier Director Agriculture extension Larkana Abid Qureshi welcomed to all guests and gave presentation to participants.
