Pakistan may face more travel bans due to polio cases

KARACHI: Pakistan may face more travel bans as polio cases are being continuously reported across the country.
World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concerns over increasing cases in Pakistan and summoned its important meeting on September 30 to review the situation and make new strategy.
The WHO had already strongly recommended restrictions on passengers travelling abroad without polio vaccination certificate.
Two more polio cases surfaced in the country on Saturday, pushing the toll to 166 in this year.
16-month-old Salma, the resident of Khyber Agency and 8-month-old Habiba of Peshawar were confirmed as the polio patients.
