KOLKATA: Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Kolkata to participate in T-20 World Cup while the green shirts players were shifted to hotel in fool-proof security.
As per media reports, the Pakistani team was welcomed by Chief Minister West Bengal Mamata Banarjee and former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly on the airport. After reception, the team was transferred to a local hotel in Kolkata in strict layers of security.
According to Indian media reports in wake of security threat given by Hindu hardliners, strict security measures have been taken in Kolkata for the security of the Pakistan Cricket Team and heavy contingent of police have been deployed on routes leading up to the airport to the hotel.
Army personal have also been deployed on all sensitive places in the city.
