Pakistan at loss whenever voters decision rejected: Saad Rafique

FAISALABAD: Federal Minister for Railways and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said his party president Nawaz Sharif always advised against agitation during the PPP-led government, as he feared it could derail the democracy.

Addressing a press conference here, Saad Rafique regretted that the incumbent government is being targeted for the last three months, which is undermining the state.

He said there is not even a semblance of patience in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan while the other individual speaks of revolution but at the same time has also announced to contest the next elections.

Saad Rafique said a conspiracy had been weaved to get people killed in Islamabad and derail the democracy. “Whenever the decision of vote was disregarded in the past, Pakistan, as a consequence, had to suffer the losses,” he said.

He said money is being brought to Pakistan under a conspiracy and wondered if Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri possess some kind of money making machine that is helping them to spend millions of rupees on organizing sit-ins and rallies.

He said the purpose of Tahirul Qadri’s coming to Faisalabad was not the vote but ‘Note’ (money in Urdu language).

The Railways Minister said when the Pakistan People’s Party founder leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto refused to accept verdict of the vote it led to the country’s break up.
