Pak Navy continues relief operation in flood-hit Sindh

SUKUR: Pakistan Navy Rescue and Relief operation “Madad” continues at Khairpur, Sukkur and Ghotki where Navy Rescue teams have successfully evacuated 1161 affected men, women and children.
In order to augment relief efforts, 9 tons of relief goods alongwith additional teams have been dispatched to Khairpur, said a statement issued by the ISPR here on Thursday.
The relief goods include tents, life jackets, blankets, shawls, clothes, shoes and dry ration.
Doctors and para-medical staff of Pakistan Navy are also providing medical treatment and free medicines to the flood victims.
De-watering pumps are operational at Golarchi and Masan of District Badin, Bagher Gee (District Sukkur), Ramzan Dam Damo (District Ghotki) and Jati city (District Sujawal).
Pakistan Navy Field Commands are maintaining close liaison with PDMA and concerned civil administration to meet any flood related emergency.
