KARACHI: More than 8,500 National Testing Service (NTS) passed teachers have received their salaries across the Sindh province.
This was informed by an official of the Reform Support Unit, Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, here on Thursday.
It was pointed out that the department has completed the required process for the release of salaries of 11,271 National Testing Service (NTS) passed teachers, out of which, more than 8,500 teachers have received their salaries.
There are a total of 15,707 NTS passed teachers in Sindh and out of these 9,732 are Primary School Teachers (PSTs), 5,375 Junior School Teachers (JSTs) and 600 are High School Teachers (HSTs).
The process of release of salaries of the remaining 4,529 NTS passed teachers will be completed shortly, it was further stated. For the timely release of salaries, the RSU, E&LD is keeping a strong follow up with District Accounts Officers and giving top priority to it as teachers are asset of education department, the official added.
