MQM stages walk out from NA session against Karachi operation

ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNAs on Monday walked out of National Assembly session against Karachi operation.
While speaking to media persons from outside the NA building, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar alleged that violation of law and constitution is being carried out by ‘the law enforcers’ in Karachi.
He said MQM was being made the target of political vengeance and even the party’s senators were being harassed.
He added that, MNA Ali Raza Abidi’s restaurant was ‘illegally’ sealed by law enforcement officials.
Sattar claimed that 40 workers of MQM were killed extra-judicially. He alleged, two hundred MQM workers were killed in targeted actions while 150 workers were subjected to enforced disappearance.
Dr Sattar said his party was trying to seek a meeting with the Prime Minister but it is not getting an appointment.
