KARACHI: Rauf Siddiqui and Dr Saghir Ahmed of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday took oath as Sindh ministers.
Siddiqui has been assigned industries and commerce, whereas Dr Saghir has taken the Ministry of Health. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan administered the oath at the Governor House. Apart from them, Adil Siddiqui has been appointed as adviser to the chief minister on environment and Abdul Haseeb Khan has been appointed as an adviser on Auqaf.
MQM Faisal Sabzwari has been appointed as special assistant to the chief minister on youth affairs. Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Senator Rehman Malik, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and Information Minister Sharjeel Memon were present on the occasion.
Besides MQM leaders, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Faisal Sabzwari and others were also present. Before the oath ceremony, Qaim Ali Shah along with Rehman Malik called on former president Asif Ali Zardari and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto. They discussed the matters regarding inclusion of MQM in the Sindh cabinet besides matters of law and order.
