ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minster Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday has said that Iran not involved in any activity against Pakistan.
While addressed a press conference, he stated that the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani s recent visit to Pakistan has been quite productive but an impression is being given that Iran is involved in certain activities against Pakistan.
I appeal to our patriotic media that it should not create an impression as if Iran was the facilitator of RAW’s activities in Pakistan, Nisar told.
Nisar said that the Irani authorities have expressed their concerns over news proliferating in a certain section of the media which is portraying Iran in a negative manner despite of a very positive recent visit of the Iranian President.
Our ties with Iran are by no means linked with the arrest of a spy. He wasn’t facilitated by the Iranian government, he said.
He added that Iran has always supported Pakistan in the hour of need and that the neighbouring country is not involved in any activities against Pakistan.
He also praised the media at the same time stating that it has played an important role in “defusing” the recent protests in Islamabad.
Iran not involved in any activity over Pakistan, says Ch Nisar
