ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah says all four members of the Election Commission have allegations against them and they should relinquish their posts and approach the Judicial Council against Imran Khan.
Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Shah added, that he would back the four individuals if they approached the Judicial Council. Shah further said, that the Chief Election Commissioner does not have the authority to remove individuals from their posts.
The Opposition Leader further said, that Imran Khan should have approached the Judicial Council against the Election Commission personnel.
Expressing regrets over the Faisalabad incident, Shah said, the government should have exercised patience, if workers are pitched against workers it will lead to civil war, he added.
Shah said, that Nawaz Sharif’s team in Faisalabad has hurt his position adding that Rana Sanaullah is already implicated in the Model Town incident, the prime minister should open his eyes and see the situation.
The veteran politician concluded that whether Imran Khan is acting on signals or not, the government should exercise a mature political approach.
