ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says the government is pursuing a policy to ensure affordable and clean energy in the country.
He was talking to a US delegation of Energy Department, headed by Jonathan Elkind in Islamabad.
Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan would welcome US assistance in energy sector to cope with the acute energy shortage.
The Minister said new power projects would be operationalized in next three to five years.
Jonathan Elkind appreciated government’s efforts to overcome the energy shortage.
