Govt committed to resolve energy crisis: Asif

SIALKOT: Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif Sunday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government would fulfill its responsibility and commitments to steer the country out of energy crisis.
The minister said the government was making strenuous efforts to minimize the load-shedding and bringing improvement by reducing line losses.
Khawaj Asif said that difference of opinion was beauty of democracy and it always helped to strengthen democracy adding that unfortunately some elements were trying to jeopardizing the system through negative political activities.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N emerged a strong political party of the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The minister said that the ultimate goal of democracy was to ensure dignity and fundamental rights of individuals, provision of social justice as well as socio-economic uplift of the country and PML-N was working on this agenda. He said that protection of constitution, parliament and democracy was top on agenda of the political parties.
Asif said that sit-ins were serious threats to national economy due to which many agreements with foriegn investors could not be signed. The Minister urged the people to show unity to foil conspiracies against democracy.
He appealed the masses to demonstrate unity and brotherhood during the Holy Month of Muharram.
