Girl killed in grenade attack, 45 arrested in Karachi

KARACHI, Apr 22 (INP): unknown assailants on Wednesday lobbed a hand-grenade at a residential compound near Lyari Town office killing a girl and injuring two women.

According to reports, unknown persons hurled a hand-grenade killing a five-year-old girl and injuring two women.
The attackers drove off the area after committing crime.

A huge contingent of police personnel arrived in the area to carry out the relief operation and to collect evidences from the scene.

Meanwhile at least 42 suspects were arrested during search operation carried out by police in western zone of the city on Wednesday.

According to police, the arrested men were involved in various crimes.

Weapons including grenades, narcotics and stolen motorcycles were also recovered from their possession. Mehmoodabad police detained at least two felons being involved in street crimes.
Moreover Police officers have nabbed Ramesh s/o Devraj in an injured condition by recovering huge cache of weapons from his possession.

As per police sources, the suspect had links with Uzair Baloch group whereas he was also wanted in various criminal activities including extortion.
