Four TTP militants killed operation, another kills in encounter

KARACHI: Police claimed to have killed four alleged terrorists in a residential area near Northern Bypass in Karachi.

Police said the terrorists were killed during exchange of fire during search operation in the area.

SSP Malir, Rao Anwar has claimed that militants, who were killed in the encounter, belong to banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Police recovered Kalashnikov, TT pistol and a large number of bullets during the search operation.

While, Rangers shot dead a ‘suspect’ in a shootout here on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Salman, 31. Irfan Durrani, a brother of the deceased and President Peoples Youth District South, told Geo News that the Rangers had picked up his brother from his house in Kumharwara area of the city during a raid.

He claimed that his brother was shot dead after an hour after being arrested by the paramilitary force. Durrani said that his 31 years old brother was an employee of the Matric Board Office.
