Federal requests Sindh govt to extend Rangers powers

KARACHI: The Federal government on Thursday has sent a request to the Sindh government for extension of Rangers’ powers.
According to the content of the letter, the special powers allowed to the Rangers will be ending on 3rd of February.
The Federal Interior Ministry wrote to the government of Sindh for further extension in the deadline. The extension in powers has been requested in regards to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
The request for the extension has been received by the government of Sindh.
