KARACHI: In the wake of growing security concerns, education institutions of army and navy have been temporarily closed across Pakistan, on Thursday.
As per details, in Punjab, all private and public sector schools have already been closed till Jan 31 apparently due to harsh winter conditions in the province.
All Army Public and Bahria schools and colleges across the country have also been closed till Jan 31.
A new security plan has also been announced for the educational institutes. Three universities of Lahore including Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), University of Engineering and Technology (UET) and Bahauddin Zakria University (BZU) were closed up until 31st Jaunuary. The institutes had been advised to improve their security measures.
BZU’s Multan campus was also closed. Hostels were cleared and a search operation was also conducted.

Army Public Schools (APSs) and schools working under Pakistan Navy in Karachi were closed Wednesday amid security concerns.
APS and schools working under Pakistan Navy will remain closed till February 2.
