KARACHI: Sindh Minister for information and PPP central Deputy Secretary Information Sharjeel Innam Memon has said that arrest and torture of political activists will not be tolerated under any circumstances and added that the federal government would resolve the serious issues through dialogue.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that in current situation the federal government will be responsible for any political adventure. He said political parties should not be deprived of democratic rights.
Criticizing the miserable crackdown against political activists, he said the arrest and torture on political activists will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Sharjeel Memon said the police and the administration in Punjab is being forced to torture people. He said that in the present democratic era such steps would reflect the authoritarian thinking of Nawaz Sharif.
Sharjeel Inam Memon urged the federal government take serious efforts to resolve the issues through dialogues.
