MITHI: Education is a single tool to empower Thari people. Miseries of Thar can be overcome by promoting quality education, so authorities concerned should prioritise it said speakers during Education Campaign rally was held at Diplo organized by SEARCH and Alif Ailaan. It was started from Allah wala chowk at to Badin stop rally was fully supported by citizens of Diplo Taluka authorities Assistant Commissioner Diplo , Taluka education department, teachers ,educationists journalists and civil society. The objective of the rally was to provide quality education and missing facilities in schools of Tharparkar.
At the end of rally in media briefing district coordinator of Alif Ailaan Partab Shivani said that hundreds of the closed schools in Tharparker and About 0.35 million school age children are out of schools the situation is unfair and critical. He added as in Diplo work is running good as Peeral Chandio is taking keen interest to build the atmosphere. He assured Alif Ailaan is ready to support any thing that makes favor for education.
Taluka Education Officer(female) Madam Zaib-ul Nisaa Kallar said that girls’ education is in nightmare here in Diplo 42 girls schools are closed out of 114 there must be more mixed schools closed so that the situation is at stake.
Assistant commissioner Diplo Peeral Chandio said that Diplo is still stable than other talukas as an Assistant Commissioner I have visited schools of Diplo and nearby villages so I am satisfied from the performance of schools, besides this two closed schools have been reopened and hope in near future all closed schools would be re-opened. He appreciated the intervention of Alif Ailaan and assured that in every activity we would participate for the betterment of education.
Ramzan Junejo coordinator of private schools association said that the main reason of closed schools is interruption of politics in education system I agree that here is more disaster in the area of Tharparkar due to these disasters education is disturbed but the main problem is local political leaders are intentionally interrupting in the educational system
In briefing with media Ravi Gir goswam, Hansraj azad and others told that in context of Tharparkar here is no cultivation and agriculture neither industries to support our economy we have only one option of education so we request our authorities that they open closed schools.
